Krypton Gas

Last Updated: July 30, 2024

Krypton is a very rare gas, comprising only 1 part per million in the Earth’s atmosphere, and is hundreds of times more expensive than argon gas. It is denser than argon gas and is only effective if trying to lower the conductivity of IG units with very narrow airspaces. Krypton does not have a justified performance or cost benefit in wider airspaces.
